French export Eric Stark recorded a tasty set for Tilt Shift Melbourne in December. You can catch him headlining at Warehouse 25 in Brisbane this Saturday 23 March for RAVE TIME DISCO Feat. ERIC STARK (Melb).

I’ve always been influenced by the sound of the 80s. From a young age, growing up with my older cousins who were playing Depeche Mode, New Order, Kraftwerk and all the funk and disco that was coming out of that era. Then through my first clubbing experiences and early DJ career where artists like Vitalic, The Hacker, Miss Kittin and Kiko were pushing the electro-clash scene in France.

Iain, aka Stockholm Syndrome, and I are on the same wavelength regarding music and vibes. So, when he asked me to jump on board his new Tilt Shift weekly live stream at New Guernica in Melbourne, you know I was all in.

This mix gives you a little taste of what my sets can sound like, a mix between Italo, dark disco and electro, a couple of old favs and always representing some French artists in there too.

In recent years, there's been a noticeable shift in the music scene towards faster BPMs with less emphasis on groove and space in mixes, which I found a little challenging in expressing the sound I like, but it's refreshing to have people like Stockholm Syndrome and the Mobility Scooter DJs continuing to champion the music we hold dear and providing a platform to showcase it.

I’m very much looking forward to playing this Saturday in Brisbane as it's always exciting to play in front of a different audience, share the music I love and make people dance!
