Lemon & Lime 001 – Fergus Alexander

Fergus Alexander is a long-standing member of the progressive house music scene in Brisbane (Meanjin), and one of our local legends. In January 2023 he recorded the first DJ set for the Lemon & Lime Mix Series. Fergus will be playing a back to back set for Lemon & Lime with Rich Curtis this Sunday 21 April at La La Land Brisbane, warming up for the UK’s Dave Seaman & Quivver.

I am obviously very much looking forward to the the event as well as playing back to back with Rich Curtis, warming up for two of the greatest names in the house and progressive world, Dave Seaman and Quivver. It is Quivver's first time playing in Brisbane, so it’s going to be extra extra special. As always, I appreciate Dan Burke and Lemon & Lime for the opportunity, support and the tireless effort in bringing all this fine goodness to our fair city.

It’s going to be a great afternoon and evening, the DJ booth will be ground level which is always my preference and the Funktion-One will be primed for action. Expect some upfront and forward thinking house music with loads of groove, chugging basslines, warm melodies and a few twists and turns as well, but the only way to experience is to rock up and get down on the dance floor, not stay home and sit on the couch.
